Associate Osteopath

João provides a distinctive clinical perspective, integrating an extensive background in acute healthcare with advanced osteopathic expertise. After graduating from the Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Coimbra in Portugal with a BSc (Hons) in Nursing, João practiced as a Registered Nurse within the NHS and private sectors from 2017. His tenure at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and KIMS Hospital provided him with a rigorous medical foundation that now informs his osteopathic practice.

Driven by a focus on rehabilitation and physical performance, João furthered his credentials with an ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage before earning his Master’s in Osteopathy (M.Ost) from the European School of Osteopathy (Kent).

João’s approach is analytical and results-driven, specializing in the management of chronic pain, spinal pathology, and sports-related injuries. By utilizing biomechanical and functional sports analysis, he develops targeted treatment plans designed to restore optimal movement and achieve sustainable clinical outcomes.

With previous experience assisting Paralympic athletes at the National Spinal Centre, João is highly skilled in adapting complex rehabilitation protocols for high-performance requirements. He is dedicated to applying these elite-level principles to help all patients achieve their maximum functional potential.
